2022 Hybrid Trade Delegation to Southwestern Africa

The "2022 Hybrid Trade Delegation to Southwestern Africa" organized by TAITRA, has been implemented from June 28th to July 1st , this year, targeting Nigeria, Ghana, Mozambique, South Africa, and Eswatini with 25 enterprises from the auto parts, machinery, and medical equipment of Taiwan. A total of 513 meetings with 456 buyers from Africa have been arranged. The event aims to create business opportunities that is expected to be up to 11 million USD for the members.
This year, TAITRA offers new services to the members of the delegation. TAITRA’s overseas branch offices will be arranging physical meetings for the members to meet their buyers after the online meeting. 
The delegation has invited numerous members to join in the event, including listed enterprises, such as Everfocus Electronics, a prestigious smart security and transportation enterprise, and Speed Tech Corporation, an experienced solution provider of solar energy. The event has also invited renowned buyers from Africa, including JS Group Ghana, Eurojap South Africa, also known as one of the largest security monitoring systems and equipment supplier in Mozambique, with locations all over Mozambique. In addition, the procurement department of the Pretoria City Government has also been invited to the event. The city has been an important hub of South Africa’s auto industry and it is looking forward to meeting more suppliers from Taiwan via the event.

To fully allow the members to know more about the African market, TAITRA has held a seminar before the online meeting, introducing the market of Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Eswatini, and Mozambique. 

The pandemic has been easing and borders have been reopened recently. TAITRA will organize its flagship event this September The "Kenya Taiwan Week" will be inviting suppliers from Taiwan to visit various countries in the Eastern Africa region to promote Taiwan’s industry and culture through different exhibitions.
